Meet the Team at Rivertown Gallery:

Duane & Marlene Hada

Gallery Owners, Chief Artist + Master Angler, Curator

Duane & Marlene Hada have devoted their lives to Arkansas conservation, art, and sharing the great outdoors with others locally & internationally. Ater 30+ years of guiding and hosting destination fly fishing tours, the Hadas moved back to the area of Duane’s childhood, near the Buffallo National River in NW Arkansas, to open Rivertown Gallery in Mountain Home.

There, Duane can be found painting Ozark landscapes, creating beautiful fish replicas, and more, while Marlene curates and runs the Business & Administration of Rivertown Gallery. Duane & Marlene enjoy the nuance each day brings as they welcome the community into the gallery, engage local youth in Cross Trail Outfitters ministry, and pass on a love for conservation on to their three grandchildren.

Dorothy Harp

Assistant Curator

As a lifelong learner and artist, Dorothy brings a perfect touch to the gallery! Throughout her life, various types of art—in their beautiful diversity—have been a balancing force for her.

At Rivertown Gallery, her organizational and artistic skills shine as she curates gallery displays, keeps the office running and helps clients find the perfect piece of art to take home and brighten their life. For four faithful years, she has also assisted Duane with art workshops and helps the gallery keep running behind-the-scenes in a million ways.

Dorothy’s life experience has ebbed and flowed through thoughtful years of serving in the United States Air Force, civilian work, and building a strong family culture with her husband of 47 years. She also enjoys creating art with friends and working in her art studio.

Zak Rorie

Apprentice Artist

As a student of Duane’s, Zak has a special perspective of a master’s work. For the past 3 years, he has been learning from Duane & painting art of his own, which is for sale at Rivertown Gallery.

He also does detailed work helping Duane prep his popular fish replicas and loves it!

Caroline Pokorny

Marketing Designer, Content Creator

Growing up in North Central Arkansas, Caroline loves Rivertown Gallery’s rich collection of Ozark art. Each walk through the gallery reminds her of childhood memories on the Buffalo River or Crooked Creek, or inspires her to further explore more corners of the Ozark Mountains.

A graduate of ASUMH, she pursued freelance design and marketing opportunities that led her to love helping small businesses accomplish their design & marketing goals. She curates the Gallery’s social media pages, keeps our websites running, creates digital content, and helps organize online products. In her spare time, you can find her hiking, playing music, or hanging out with family & friends.

Annette Pulis

Assistant Curator

Growing up near Lake Michigan, Annette has always loved to fish. She spent years catching lake trout, Coho & Chinook Salmon, Brown Trout, Rainbows, and Steelheads. Her passion for art began as a college student in Australia where she immersed herself in the culture & native artwork.

Coming back to the US, Annette started her own business, A Piece of Australia, and graduated with a B.A. in Business Admin from ASU. She continued to follow her passions for fishing & artwork, finding her way to Rivertown Gallery where Duane & Marlene welcomed her as a curator and sales associate. She and her husband Rick enjoy being a part of gallery culture and the great outdoors!
